Pineapples and Flamingos

I made this Pocket Letter for the event “Pineapples and Flamingos” at Pocket Letter Pals. This is the first time that I attended an event. And I really liked it. The Stamp Set Pop of Paradise fits the event perfectly. (If you don’t know what a Pocket Letter is: click here )

I hope my Pals already received the PL, because the stamp of this week’s #WWYS74 is Pop of Paradise. And I like to enter the challenge with this design. I put some goodies in the back of the pockets. What the goodies are, is only for the receivers to know. :)

Life is a beautiful ride

This card is a Cut Above … at The Paper Players Challenge 303

I bought the cute bug  stamp to combine with the camper. I haven’t made such a card yet, until now.
I water-colored the bug and the camper. I wanted to make a clean card, so I didn’t add any banner, ribbons or other embellishments.

You’re Sublime

As winner of the WWYS # 69, I was invited to be guest designer for this challenge. The stamp set for this week’s What Will You Stamp #72 challenge is You’re Sublime.
I bought this stamp set, because I really liked the submarine. I think I am influenced by The Beatles, because I always end up to make the cute submarine yellow. :)

I have watercolored the background with the aquapainter and a lot of shades of blue and green.
I created the land  with a watercolored piece of cardboard. To create depth, I stamped a school of fish from the Sea Street stamp set behind the submarine.

I didn’t used any of the greetings because I wanted to use this card for a boy’s birthday. And they don’t understand English yet.

So, if you have this set, get on your desk now and create a beautiful card to play with this weeks WWYS challenge. And don’t forget to check the other creations from the Challenge Design Team!

Picture Perfect in Delfts Blauw

I card was a What Will You Stamp Challenge Winner.

Lost and found again

I have made this card last weekend and I wanted to blog about it today. But … WHERE IS MY CARD? Oh no!!! What happened? I cleaned up my desk. Haha. Not a good idea!

I searched for an hour and you know where I found it? In the pile of the Grey paper. It was upside down and I though it was a piece of scrap that needed to be sorted with the Grey paper. Haha. (Now I can smile again)

So about the card:
I made the background a while ago because I wanted to try a technique I saw on the blog of A La Pause. It is watercolored with Grey, blue, turquoise and brown. This is the color combination of this weeks challenge at ColorQ. So I decided to finish the card. The hardwood stamp is white embossed.
I used my new Layering Oval Framelits. The inside is watercolored and stamped with a coral reef and a sentiment. Then I stamped the seahorse in soft suede and watercolored it with the same color. All the stamps are from the Under the Sea stamp set of Joy Crafts.

Colors: SU Basic Gray | Smokey Slate | Pool Party | Soft Sky | Soft Suede | ColorBox Turquoise
