Going Global

Here is a card based on the What Will You Stamp challenge. This weeks challenge is to create a card using the Going Global stamp set.

I had a lot of fun making the background. I used the watercolor technique to create a night sky scene. I started by adding lots of ink on watercolor paper. Once the entire piece was dry, I sponged extra Night of Navy Ink for a rich, deep background. Than I splattered some mixes of water, Perfect Pearls and Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink Pad all over the background.

Unfortunately I took the wrong embossing powder to embossed the Big Dipper image. I took the clear one with glitter instead of the white one. So I went over the image with white ink.

The moon is made with a piece of paper of the DSP and sponged with Sahara Sand and Early Expresso Ink.

I applied watercolor markers only on the continents of the earth stamp  to create a realistic earth. I sprayed with water on the stamp and stamped the image. The seas are watercolored with Night of Navy.  I used a sponge dauber and Night of Navy ink on one side and Hero Arts white ink on the other side to create dimension.
